Alright!
Calling every CFD. I would like to know as far as Moores is concerned what do you focus on when you demo? 1 product, several products? Do you take layouts and projects that you have completed? Do you work on a project while you are demo-ing?
How are you doing booking classes with Moores? What do you find successful in getting the students in? Do you advertise outside Moores, if you do what do you do?
Classes: do you provide the products and add it to the cost or do you just charge for you time and give the students a complete list for them to buy?
How long do you demo at Moores? LSS? Private Groups?
Well, that's my start.

Question: Is there any way to identify the author of our blog posts? I know we see the names in the comment section, but how about on the blog? Or, am I missing something? Thanks, Sandy #1781

OK, I got 'Certified' last Feb/March and I really don't know how this is supposed to work.
From what I understood, after the Certification, I got put on some kind of list and local stores would call to see if I were available for a demo.
At that point, I would accept or decline.
I don't think that is how it works anymore.
Do I solicit the local stores myself? Do I need a recommendation from someone else?
I'm really not sure.
Thank you,
Pam Hoffman

Sandy, It's Nikki who moderates the blog. I would presume if someone else was to post they would ID themselves.
Pam, from my experience and understanding you go out and get those jobs. I contact my LSS, Moores and private groups. Your certification badge and certificate should be enough to get you in the door.

I was wondering the same things. I would like to go to local stores and demo.
Since school is about to start. Do you have a guideline I can use to go to stores or some kind of info I need to let them know?
I'm an Independent Instructor with I Remember When and do Fiskars demos every time I have a crop. That is about 4-8 demos a month, but I would love to go to the local stores too. How do I sell myself to them?

To me that's a great question Anke. Maybe we need a little marketing package!
Selling "myself" as never been too hard for me. But I would be interested in seeing what other have to say.

Couple of questions:
I tried the link for the Fiskatools (so I could print business cards) but it said it was "coming soon". Is there another location to download business cards from?
Is there a place where I can lift a button for my blog & website? Something about Fiskars or Fiskateers? Or a button/logo that I can place on those site that would say I'm a CFD?
I'm working on my marketing plan to get this going-any help would be appreciated!
